Måns releases his eighth album, « Time » !
TIME now is available EVERYWHERE!
iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, Napster, Amazon…
The album is a chronological journey that starts a few years ago and ends in the present. Here are also some flashbacks.
« The opening song can be seen as a letter from me to my young self and then the story goes through a dark period before turning to the better again, » says Zelmerlöw, who has long wanted to make an album that has a red thread, a whole feeling.
Many songs were written for the album, including songwriting sessions in Battersea, London and Peter Gabriel’s legendary studio, Real World, in Bath. Zelmerlöw has been involved in writing almost every song and many of them were written together with Jon Eyden.
« He is now the guy I prefer to write to – he is my equivalent of Guy Chambers, » says Måns, referring to Robbie Williams co-writer and board.
The previous singles, the duet with Dotter « Walk With Me » and Better Now and Grow Up To Be You, are followed by the new single, One.
“One is about how one’s friends may think that, as a couple, they struggle too much in everyday life. The message is that it can actually be good to clear the air sometimes and thus get rid of things, instead of holding on to them, because it can make the relationship grow stronger in the extension and create a greater mutual understanding for each other. The song says « we can be the exception that confirms the rule », Måns concludes.
The once young and inexperienced pop sensation the artist with the winning smile has today developed into a full blooded professional with something to tell.
“I personally think that the album as a whole is the most personal and elaborate I have done and it will be very interesting to see how it is received. It also feels extra annoying because the album means so much to me! ”
